Update on the epic ball joint situation. My parts man found me a set of bottom ball joints, which was lucky cause mine were really shot. He said that they could possibly be the last set in the country. My top ones aren't that bad so I will clean them up, fresh grease and put them back on.
Now for the 1000 clan for future reference, I got prices on reco ball joints, and could possibly have a way to buy new top and bottom ball joints from Japan.

Wholesale suspension will inject ball joints with a urathane rubber for $100 a set, this is not recommended but in the future if your ball joints are not to bad, this will be the cheapest way to get our 1000's past rego, ive been told this may only be good for 6 to 12 months.

I rang pedders and they can get ball joints rebuilt, they send them to adelaide for a small fee of $260 per ball joint . Not a typo. When our ball joints are completely gone this may be our only choice unless there are upper control arm mods.

My parts guy found you can get both top and bottom ball joints from Japan. He sourced a company that I can order them through. Minimum order is 10. Im happy to buy 4 top bj's. So if anybody would like a set or more let me know and we might be able to make it happen. This will take a month or two and estimate $90 per ball joint.
