E15et's are a bit thin on the ground here. I gave my last engine (before this one)(A15) an absolute hiding, and it was a piston that gave up. if it was a rod bolt, it must have been fatigue. The motor i've just killed was my original a14, which saw lots of excessive revs. Although I have a peice of crap tacho with shift light that only works sometimes. (although on that day it had been doing what it was suposed to) So it's not inconceivable that maybe the shift light never lit up, and it revved into oblivion. (I was doing dough nuts in 2nd gear) it's also possible that when the belt came off the sudden extra stress on the rod of having to suck the charge in rather than having it blown in may have over taxed the bolts and led to a failure. especially if the motor was pulling huge revs. Although that is purely conjecture at this time.
