Since I've started down the path of rebuilding this A15 & it has the bosses on the block for an AC unit it got me thinking about how to fit a different/modern system into the car. I think one could fairly easily install the condenser, dryer, compressor, hoses, switches & the like, its the evaporator/fan & controls assembly that seems difficult. Its almost like one would need to fab the evap/fan setup with a small evaporator, probably bought aftermarket.
Anyone of you guys ever done this or attempted it? I know there's some aftermarket AC systems similar to the original 1200 AC style but there bulky & kinda fugly, I'd like something almost unnoticeable if possible.
Any brilliant ideas out there?
