For anyone thinking of attending these are some of the 'issues' that the wrx club scrutineers have picked on in the past, to save anyone making the trip and being told they can't race

-Dont have any oil leaks, sounds petty but they don't look kindly on it.
-Seats need to be secure on their mounts. If they grab the seat and try and shake it it should remain close to rigid.
-Harnesses/seatbelts. I'm pretty sure they'll check if your harness is in date, or in the case of a seat belt they'll likely do the old tug to check it locks up.
-Wheel nuts tight!
-Tyres, they are meant to monitor a minimum tread depth but I havent seen anyone get knocked back on this.
-FUEL. When the fuel tank is in the boot (ie: 1600's, 180b's and probably the rest) they need the boot "sealed" from the cabin. People HAVE been knocked back for this. They dont always check it but if they do you want to have something sealing the boot off behind the backseat and on the parcel shelf. Most of us now have a thin sheet of aluminium screwed/riveted behind the seat.
-Brake lights, indicators. These need to work.
-Battery secure. They will give it a good shove to test this.
-Tow Points. They will ask where your tow points are. If you have only one or none then you can tell them they can tow it from the diff etc. The only downside is they wont look for the place that will cause the least damage, they will choose the quickest easiest spot to tow from. My advice is get at least a front tow hook. It is best to mark your tow points with a sticker to make it as obvious as possible for the recovery crew.
-Battery stickers. You need a blue triangle stuck onto your car wherever the battery is located.
-Headlights. Old glass lights like ours need to be taped over. This is to contain the glass if it breaks.
