i normally run a 63a 5 speed, but it had a bit of gear noise in it so i decided to pull it out and swap the whole setup over so i could run at bathurst at easter and now oran park but the 4 speed obviously had other ideas. i know have another 63a 5 speed to use as parts so it will be rebuilt and have all of my hydraulic setup put back in.
in the first one that broke, the bearing the tailshaft runs on separated from the extension housing and went down into the gear set... yummy mess. the other one blew a brand new genuine seal. and the 56 blew the whole seal out lol. maybe that tailshaft yoke is undersize and is floping around. o well i have another shaft to use with the 63a so all should be good.
at least it wasnt an engine.
