Consider that a factory auto-choke on the A12 enriches the mixture up to 8:1 - 9:1.

So it's not easy to over-enrich.

For fully warm max-power as rich as 12:1 is common (with a carburetor). So cold-enrichment can be more than this.

With EFI you can obvious tune it closer than this (e.g. Rezlo's advice), looking for the economy/power/emissions tradeoff of your choice.
