I bought a weber with a manifold off eBay. The choke butterflys on top have been removed apparently to decrease restriction. Considering this means I have no choke anyway I don't see any issue in shaving the top of the barrels off completely.

I've been told this a fairly common mod to webers or holleys?

Has any one heard of this or done it before?
