Why not do an L series. You say you want a daily driver, but I think It would always be a temptation to up the power with a CA18 turbo. Maybe an L18 with a Stanza 5 speed, lots of torque for traffic, with a bit of power. the engine rewiring is simple, no computers needed, & at the moment there's lots off people doing them at the moment, so answers & solutions to problems are readily available. Just a thought.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
