I rekon it's a good strategy, considering Datsun prepared the 1600 for these events there's no reason the 1200 would do any worse. That car is an absolute stunner by the way.

Something interesting I found while reading my "how to modify datsun" book mentioned the BRE team would use a double tie rod arrangement. There's only one picture of in in the book so I can't quite figure it out.
