I still haven't been out in my garage (been stuck in home reno land for months....)

You can buy a thread gauge from most auto hardware stores (serious ones) for about $10 if you can measure a A series head bolt you will have the thread (or someone else here might be able to measure it)

I am pretty confident it's M10 - or go and buy 1 x M10 bolt and try winding it in to the back of the block....
