Who ever heard of head bolts cracking? Let alone when "torqued to correct settings".


Head Bolts are not part of a rebuild, except on TTY designs, of which Datsun engines are not TTY designs.

New rod bolts are not part of a rebuild either, but for 8000 RPM i recommend the ARP bolts. Although new Nissan rod bolts are good too.

Main bearing bolts should be reused. Flywheels bolts too. No reason to replace these.

Torque to Nissan's specifications.

Rebuild will use a new cam, so you must use new lifters. Or they can be refaced for a performance rebuild.
