Some more questions:
The engine blew head gasket once before due to a cracked head bolt. That is why I lost my trust in reusing head bolts.
They did give the head a slight skim when this happened.
I am going to run a 276 spec cam like the one on the tighe website. So you guys say it is fine to re-use the lifters just get it re-faced? The cam will be a stock A12 cam getting reprofiled. Can I then just send the lifters with and ask the guy to re-face them as well?
I have another A12GX spare engine which lifters I can use if the current ones are pitted or damaged which I doubt because the engine in the car has 150 000 genuine km on it.

Who used ARP rod bolts on their A series engines? There are currently two of us (Me and racetech) who are looking for info of which one's to buy and how to install. Clive said it is a V8 engine's rod bolts and there is people saying they must be centre grind to make them sit centre in the rod bolt holes as they are slightly thinner than genuine Datsun rod bolts. Any info here?
Another question. Is there a difference between the A12 rod bolt and A14/15 rod bolts? If the ARP are thinner, maybe they will sit better in the A12 rod bolt hole if the A12 uses thinner bolts.
