My coupe is not unlike many SCCA 1200 race cars in that the front track is about 20mm more than the back. The car will turn in very nicely, naturally, but the reason for this is the 280ZX struts and control arms mounted on my 1200 have a wider track. This isn't something I would go out of my way to do.
My recommendation to you is get a copy of Carroll Smith's "Engineer to Win" & "Prepare to Win" , also Fred Puhn's "How to make you're car handle" or look at the C Sedan prep manual on this site. For a street car an A14 or A12 with GX Spec Cam, Weber DGV, Headers, 2 inch exhaust paired with anti roll bars, some decent dampers and a set of 175 or 185/60 13's and better brake calipers or at least pads would make a fun little street car.
