From my experience (have used both in 1600s) its a bit like this: Rare MR30 box is a better fit and doesn't require floor cutting, but is MUCH more expensive (Typ $300-700 to buy one, and it will prob need a $$ rebuild due to age, though you can be lucky)has non-ideal gear ratios for a 4 cyl.
Common Bluebird or Gazelle CA20 box is cheap (ie case of beer cheap) has good ratios and will take plenty of abuse (unless frequent drifting and drag racing is your thing). Still, if you break one, it's pretty quick and easy to swap out. Plus given the cost comparison with MR30 box, you can afford to have 6-8 spares in stock.
