Considering we are now in 2010, I estimate getting a very good condition original bumper to OEM spec will cost > $400 + purchase cost. When I did my Sedan's rear bar in 2002, I paid $360 + $100 (purchase), and the bar had only one small dint it. This was 8 years ago. I'm still VERY happy with the quality of the job and it still looks like brand new.
It's a shame that the front bars from Nissan have gotten so bad. But it goes to show that if you are going to spend $20k on a project, don't start with a $500 wreck. If you are serious about long term ownership, start with the most pristine stocker you can afford.
