Assume 75% effiency of a compressor, so your 10CFM compressor is more likely 7-7.5CFM in actual use, even then if your gun is using 6CFM the compressor will be running at or near 100 duty cycle most of the time. That is OK for home type use but for commercial use you would look for a higher rated compressor to improve the service life of it.
