Your idea is very nice and all, but I would recommend getting the ute's safety up a notch or two before you install a engine with allot of power.
Look at the brakes and suspension and get them ready for the transplant. After you have done that work, see if you are still interested in taking up the massive job of a engine conversion.
My other question, what are you planning on doing with the car?
