Yep, I agree with you on the bike shifters. I've been hooked on the sequential shifters ever since purchasing a '68 Bultaco Matador 250 back in high school. Had way too much fun in the dirt. A stash of TZ750's would be lots of fun (and noise). Back in the '70s I had a guy pass me on the freeway who was riding a RD400 with open pipes at full power. That rated as one of the loudest things I've ever heard.

We are running the car in A-MOD without wings. Wings are planned for the future and is the only way to compete in the class. Spent a lot of time looking over and talking to the owners of the new Vancouver Special at our first practice event last year. 2 of the A-MOD cars from Vancouver BC. came down and gave us a treat of seeing the cars in action. I think I remember one of the builders talking of 650# of down force at 60 miles per hour. Of course the down side is with 250HP the top speed of the car was just over 70mph...

Brian's car is quite entertaining. There is no room for a clutch pedal in the foot box. We have a stub of bike handle bar welded to the outside of the cockpit by the steering wheel. You use the clutch for moving around in the pits and launching. Once under way all shifting is done without the clutch using the electric paddles.

One of our events has an 1/8 mile drag race. We were doing low 7's. It's quite a kick to launch in 1st and run through the gears up to 5th gear in just over 7 seconds without ever lifting the throttle...

I like to think of his car as a 1300CC shifter cart...
