Hi,
While lying under the car doing the gearbox/clutch I noticed the rubber boots on the steering ball ends are "rotted". At first I thought it was excess grease but in fact the rubber covers have softend so bad you could tear them off like dough.
So I've managed to find the part numbers for the tie rod end but I'm stuck at what to do with the Center "cross" rod?
Can I replace the ball ends?
Do I replace the whole part? Any ACDelco part number for it?
The car is a 1979 RHD B310 if that helps.
