OK, I'm getting it now - the 20GA. wire is a smaller wire thus burning thru faster then the 16GA system wires, that makes sense. For some reason I kept thinking about fuse sizes.

85AMP is the max load for the stock fuse panel - so Benny why are you running a smaller breaker (50A), is it for more protection or is it just less overall draw in your car?

I was looking at that style From Fisheries supply yesterday but a marine grade version...
