I have wired a turbo timer to the handbrake wire now that you mention it!

Could this give the "false" reading? I might turn off the turbo timer and see if that helps.

On the other hand, if the T.timer is causing it, then I'll have to live with the brake light being on (unless I can sort some sort of way around it).
