Functionality, useless? Overstatement.

Fit a set on, I haven't ever had any better and I like seeing more of the car in the mirrors (as they are set further back from where you are sitting).

Combined with the glass-house cabin of the 1000 I can see everything, it really makes it a much more relaxed drive knowing you have a lot more within the scope of your field of vision.
