just bought a used A12 to slap in my 1000 coupe to get it over the pits (A13 or A15 ready to go after rego but that will need engineering)
motor was supposed to be a recent recon but as I was checking it out tonight I discovered it has a bent pushrod and a siezed inlet valve
the lesson learnt is: rip the rocker cover off BEFORE handing over the cash.
Fortunately I have a spare head if the block is OK. Otherwise I have a nice boat anchor!
