It is pretty common if you have a Ford or GM or Chrysler for these kind of clearance problems to occur -- heat and bend or heat & hammer is the usual solution.

A14 and A15 are identical as far as extractors go. Mine do not foul on the idler arm, they are EECustom extractors ex-Japan, designed for A12 for Datsun 1200 specifically, but I have them on an A14.
