The diff I pulled out of an LTD was quite small and LSD
I would have though it was a bw78 but its was just so small!!

VQ weighs about the same as an SR20DET
Not to mention a more compact Dodge v8 hemi 2
MU kia/hyundai straight 6
BMW 6 (magnesium block)

Prefer the simpler engines but if I had a choice
an all alloy ohc or ohv straight 6 would be my choice
they are still lighter than the VQ.
If I went v6 I would buy a TA performance alloy
block buick and go from there in the end lighter
simpler, better looking for the era of car,
without pollution gear and other complicated electrics.
