Leigh, Im sure youll agree straight LPG is way better than "a carb" when considering LPG + boost versus Carb + boost. Also check your oil in comparison to using both its like night/day :) Im also a big fan of LPG rotaries, a match made in heaven. LPGs lubes rotor seals and keeps them from carbon locking/buildup & the oil is like new service time.

Stu, LPG also rids Pollution gear and great economy with todays prices heading skyward and LPG been touted as its rival for the next 30 years as the oil crunch kicks in.
Almost all Datsun devotees have at some stage considered the brand due to budget consciousness + savings otherwise we would be modifying Euro high end cars instead.

I never liked big XD-XF Fords, ugly is and understatement but when witnessing them destroy high tech efi cars using boosted pushrod L6 crossflow straight LPG setups and recently boosted SOHC taxi LPG sixes with everyday economy you sort of have to give credit to the comfy boat on wheels thanks to LPG.

If the money is there I would even suggest LPG injection over petrol injection for economy, cost will be the same and pollution gear again goes out the window.

After driving a subey 22b with vf34 and a sylvia with disco potato both with equivalent low lag and around 280 ate I cant see an improvement in 1.8-2.2 litres by going bigger turbos A responsive 220hp atw beats a laggy 300hp unless you spend big money and consider compound turbo setups.

For a streeter even casual track car a responsive 180-220hp atw and 2 to 3 times the torque of stock modern 2Ls in such light car is about as content as most should be.

As for the L head as much as I respect them I just love the crossflow layout + history of the Z18et & how it holds the all time track record on the old Bathurst track, no other Nissan could match its lap record.
