Nah the alloy and aluminum ones do corrode if not isolated from body and also if there is any electrical chagre /current in coolant. They are a sacrificial diode or whatever you call them. They get lots of pin hole leaks if cheap alloy grade( unfortunately most are) and are known to last 12-18 months. Heaps on net especially Silvia and skyline forums bout it.
