Yes, since they are both the same, you can interchange them.

No, a noisy bearing race does not cause a charging problem. Just a noise problem and eventually it will seize up and stop turning.


FN types use an external regulator -- it may not be working correctly.

To test, charge the battery or swap in a charged battery. Then start the engine and using your DMM or Voltmeter, measure the voltage at the battery terminals. It should be between 13.5 and 15 volts. If it is around 12 volts it is not working at all.

If the voltage is higher than 15, replace the Voltage Regulator

If the voltage is low, check the voltage at the alternator A terminal and the case of the alternator. If that is correct, there is a wiring problem.
