In its defense, I do think it would haul a full Ton though, it sure rode like it..

Man, EVERYBODY here who got one of those early junks hated them.
When they came out with the twin-distributor, 8-spark plug, 2200cc pickup, then things changed.

Better ride, decent fuel economy, and OH MY MY, they were Powerful !
