i bought a ute diff ~5 years ago and a phantom grip LSD for the 165 about 4 yrs ago and its time to get it in my coupe. ive been looking around wreckers for bluebird/etc rear brakes but no luck yet, so I ask the club.. ive bought all new bearings and oil seals so far. the 1200 ute axle is complete with brake lines.
looking for: -rear discs + calipers to hopefully bolt on to ute axle -any of the other parts needed for the conversion eg handbrake cable bits -L series tailshaft (to go into 63A box, current tailshaft is wrong length for 165 w/ phantomgrip) -new or newish rear shock absorbers (current ones are pretty crap and were recycled)
i can put up pics of the axle and spring loaded locker if it helps.. ive had loads of trouble taking off the stock diff housing too ; are there any tricks apart from heating it up?
unfamilia: thx I think I'm using a shortened stanza shaft ATM so another one of those would work. pigdog: thx as well, I will likely go with a stanza, they are everywhere.. Yes i have 14's :)
