Not ideal as by the looks of it there doesn't seem to be a dial adjustment for the amps, only wire speed. Ideally you need one where you can adjust both as you will need to make smaller adjustments than 4 different settings that machines like this one offer. The amperage (200) is more than enough and will handle quite thick steel plate but when it comes to welding panels you need fine adjustment way down low or you will blow holes in panels and frustrate the $hit out of yourself trying to not to!
