You need to have that fuel pressure set at a normal 3-5 psi when at idle and above your turbo at boost pressure. Thats the ticket.
Your car should have a return breather line that comes from the tank and connects to the firewall. Look for it. Use that as a return line for your fuel pressure regulator This will help you regulate that pressure from 3-15. When you have vacuum at idle, the regulator will open up the valve and redirect most of the fuel back to the tank lowering the pressure.
You can either build a box completely around your carb or just on the top. Either way, you will need plastic floats. The stock brass ones will crush (see my photos) . The top carb gasket and carb to intake gasket must be sealed tight. I used a cooper spray on the gaskets and then let the dry before installing.
Do not do a suck through on a turbo.
