I'm in Melbourne so Wade cams isn't too far away, plus there is crow cams that are fairly loc to me also. Both well known.
I'm running a single 45DCOE weber on the d1200 manifold that has had the flanges or whatever chopped and it's had the oval port Andes welded on, works ok little dodge but good enough till I buy a set of twins. I've choked the weber down a fair bit so that it worked on the a12.
I'm not sure how much has been taken off of the head as I brought it after someone had the ports polished with bigger valves and the head had previously been shaved so I only had it machined for a freshen (skimmed). I would talk to your mechanic for a better understanding of how much to take off, or have a chat to member bige. Also don't forgot my head is an h89 oval port head so it's different to the standard a12 round port one.
I didn't need to have my block surfaced as it had been hot tanked and was in good condition. before I brought it. I did have it honed though.
