the oil metering pump sends sump oil to your inlet for lubrication (yes you read correctly)
the wider the throttle is open the more oil it sends. its very common to remove the
oil metering pump and just mix 2 stroke oil into your fuel when filling at the pump. This
way you'll know that as long as your engine is getting fuel, its also getting the lubrication
it needs because if your running the standard oil metering pump the oil lines do block up
and theres no way of knowing unless you check them often.

this is why all rotaries (even healthy ones) burn oil
