So this is not how it's supposed to be?

I tried that Benny but no win, no spark at all now Will get out with the test lamp and if the ignition is circuit is faulty I'll bridge the ignition (as Dylan suggested) and see if there is any success then.

I really need to improve my understanding of electrics, totally flying blind here
