Hey Dimlight. If you are droping that V 6 engine in there, you need the power ,those 245-50-14 (and also 265-50-14 available) are made by T/A BF goodrich,(I think t/a is made by BF,or it could be Goodyear,I am kind of confused, but positive it is T/A)... anyways, those tires on a 14X10,9 or 8 will work, not just look business ,but mean it,and are streetable, racing tires can not handle daily driving, would melt, this ones work. With some wheel/fender well work, you can drop the car in those tires. I used to have a VW bus(68) with a porsche 6 cyl engine, and I put those tires,245/50/14 on 14X8 wheels, and it flew off, unfortunately as I was to add more rubber to the rear,265/50/14 on 14X10,my van got stolen,my fault,I never installed any alarms nor gas cut of valve nor any security devices. I do not want to think about that story,it still makes me mad!!!! On the front of the 1200 I do not think the 14's would fit,but 215-50-13 (widest 13 available now for street use) on 13X8 would work fine and hold ground, also keeping the car low. The rear 245-50-14 's will work as train tracks. Have fun!
