Hey Dimlight, I feel a little guilty putting non Datsun/Nissan engines in Dattos now too. But having owned 3 rotang powered ones over the years I know the reason for the attraction to the rotary. They are small , light, and pack a big punch for low bucks and they can take a hammering in the revs department. They also don't alter the great handling traits of the 1200s. When I was 17 /18 this was just what I needed in an engine. As you have dicovered building a turbo 4 can get really expensive especially when you get into the computers and all the trick stuff. I am a points and carbs kinda guy and the simplicity of the rotary also appeals. I guess I have the best of both worlds with rotary and A series engined 1200s in my garage. Very soon I hope to reveal the twin cam A series I now have and I'll end up replacing the 12A in the race car with it, then maybe my sins shall be forgiven........
