Hey guys,

Long story short, My 1200 speedo no longer works after I got my gearbox reco'd. I've checked the speedo cable and connection to the back of the cluster in the dash which is fine, I then moved onto the speedo pinion cog splines which looked abit worn down, ended up fiddling around with it trying to make a flush contact with speedo spline in the gearbox resulting in the speedo slightly fluctuating up and down but not managing a constant reading then it stopped completely. I'm thinking the speedo pinion itself has been worn down over the years not allowing it to make a constant reading, Does the 60a share the same speedo pinion cog as the 4 speeds or are they different ? I cannot find a 60a speedo pinion anywhere.
If you think I may have diagnosed this problem wrong, I'm open to comments and suggestions.

Much Appreciated,
Jake
