Ok, it has been a very long time since I touched the B210. Other than pulling the carb, rebuilding it, and figuring out is is shot beyond my personal skill level, I haven't done anything to it. However, on the 11th my baby B is coming to her new home. I have all new brake parts, master cyls, gaskets, hoses, and lots of other toys to keep us both occupied for a while.
Now, here is the issue I have ran in to. I plan on eventually supercharging this vehicle. I don't say this engine, because I'm not sure of the shape it is in and I will not be throwing any big performance bits on an engine I haven't went through. However, since the carb is shot (and now completely oxidized) I have to look at my options.
So far I like the idea of redline weber's 32/36 kit, but that offers very little for my future plans. I also like the idea of R1 motorcycle carbs, but I have no idea how I would be able to make a manifold for them due to having an oval port H89 head. Lastly, the idea of a single DCOE or SU seems nice, but may be well beyond my skill level for tuning.
I guess what I'm looking for is input on which route to go. For the above options, I am figuring anywhere from $350-$1000 with $1k being the most I plan to spend on any carb setup at this time. So do I plan for my future setup and go DCOE/SU/R1 and deal with manifold headaches, or do I go with the DGV 32/36 and save those headaches for later?
Also, what are some current suppliers of performance parts for the A15? Specifically camshaft or camshaft regrinds since tomei has discontinued their cams. If possible, US based companies are prefered because of freight charges.
