Chris, I pretty much stopped at the end of the thread not long after I nearly took a chunk out of my chest with the angle grinder. As you'll remember I got the motor in and ready to mount. It is a feasible conversion although I think a CR13DE would be better bang for your buck.
As for cheap ideas, the car runs like a dream, so a wrecking yard battery will get it running and cheaper to send. I've got it on ebay for $2500. With or without spares. I can box some of them but I just don't have the spare time any more to deal with major pack and send style deals. At least 3 nights after work and every weekend are booked solid.
If it doesn't sell I'm not too stressed. I will probably just wheel it around the backyard and build a roof over it. It's too good to let it rot away but I just don't have any love for projects right now. The BMX is just taking over. Myshka is doing really well so I just want to support her as best I can. Plus I have a nasty old school BMX habit now. They make Datsuns look cheap.
