Its run as a supersprint event. each session consists of 4 laps (1 standing, 3 flying) Your quickest standing, and quickest flying lap are combined to make up your total time which determines your result for the day.
if your not the competitive type you can just treat the standing lap as a warm up and still try to improve your lap times like any other track day. there is also a free practice session at the beginning of the day...
