Hey 1200, what I would do is try the bigger bearing puller first, then, if no luck, get a pickle fork.(you know those big two prong wedge things they use to separate tie-rod ends and ball joints) That usually works every time, but if not, get a torch and heat up the metal around the pin. Get it red hot, then try the pickle fork again. If that doesn't work, then the steering box is pretty much a permanent part of the car...lol. Good luck and hope this helps.
P.S. you probably already did, but don't forget to check the play in the new box before removal
