Yeh the motor will need a pull down and inspection as it has been sitting for 3 years under a tarp in the weather. more than likely something has seized up on it. so if im pulling it down would be a good idea to replace a few things while im going. I don't mind doing the work its all learning after all.

The alternator your talking about, are you indicating mounting the charger on the same side as the alternator, as opposed to the inlet/exhaust side?

that would be a lot neater
