Update time.
I found the limit of stock ca18det pistons finally. They are pretty tuff and were holding up to 25psi really well. Only problem was that the forged motor was waiting and I was running out of patience for the motor to blow so I decided to see what 35psi would do to a stock motor. Unbelievably it lasted a few days before melting a piston and I must say that it was a fun few days. 3rd gear frying no clutch required. anyway here is a pic of my new paperweight.

I was really surprised that the the stock rods held up to the abuse and even the bearings were still in excellent condition.
