Twin 40s are appropriate for a wild A12.

There is no need to make the A12 mild. The stocker makes max power at 6000 rpm yet will cruise all day at 2000 rpm and handle stop/go traffic no problem

Sorry for the dumbness but when you said "there is no need to make the A12 mild" are you referring to cams, piston etc... or you mean the carby itself will be fine for a cruiser?

Haven't exactly decided which way I want to go as far as motors. Initially I had planned a CA conversion (11/12sec 1/4m) but looking at it, it's a complete car and running condition (was a daily for a year) is good, so now i'm leaning towards keeping it original but work the A12 or alternately A14. Either way, it'll be carby.
