Very good points Chris. One feature yours had that mine do not is the countersinking. Do you remember the size of the S/S screws? I would get some off my datsun and take to a nut/bolt shop but datsun-less now.
Next batch of vents will be countersunk and will come with screws. Just need the right ones.
