I am of the view heavy flywheels benefit fuel economy over power advantage.
Lighter components increases the engine response to change (Moment of inertia - MOI).
Off the line you may see an advantage with an higher MOI flywheel as this puts the engine under more "load" but once going/revving it, in my opinion, works against you by reducing the load.
Have a few ports so happy to stand corrected :)
