next was the start of the underbody, this is defintely a tedious task, i considered sand blasting but in the end i had time and the cost of doing it by hand was alot less. my old man and i made a rottiserie (its for sale if anyone wants it, just ask) i used paint stripper, numerous wire wheels, sand paper you name it. this probably took me a good few months to complete. i must add i only work on it after work for a few hours and half days on fridays.
i opted for POR 15 on the whole under body, inner and outer guards, wherever there where rust repairs and i think thats about it. went the gloss black as you can see, ppl who have used it before know its a bloody process. this was my least favourite part of it. i brushed it on as it was easier for me considering it drys quite flat without brush strokes. i decided to do it in sections as it was easier. the front half first then the rear followed by the guards.
all the fuel system under the rear quarter was re done. all new hoses, re zinced fuel filler. all new grommets.
