Folks,

I am using an H95 exhaust manifold on the A15 in my Midget. This manifold uses a bubble flare with no seal or gasket and the three bolt collar clamp. metal to metal. I don't like this manifold to pipe joint because the flare end of the pipe has a 1.5" (38mm) inside diameter and because the flare has an overage of pipe that extends about an inch into the manifold. This is not a smooth transition in the least.

The manifold flange is chamfered and it looks like I might be able to maybe adapt an ordinary flare with a donut or maybe something more ball-like. Or maybe something else? I'd like to know how I can smooth this transition for better flow.
