Sounds pretty weird!
Nothing else got stuffed?

An easy way to check the fuse is take it out and check for continuity with a multimeter or if you don't have one of these and you do got a test light check the fuse on your cars 12V battery with the test light!

But to me sounds like the fuse is good otherwise you wouln't hear anything from the playstation when you plug it in!
